3-minute Thesis Competition - Virtual Style


The American Academy of Health Behavior invites graduate students and newly graduated post-doctoral professionals within 2-years of their post doctoral degree and not yet in a tenure-track position to participate in the annual 3-minute Thesis Competition during the virtual AAHB Scientific Meeting in March, 2021.  


Applicants will be notified of acceptance by February 20, 2021.


The 3-minute Thesis is an academic competition that challenges presenters to deliver compelling pre-recorded oration on their research agenda, highlighting the significance and impact of their research in no more than 180 seconds using a single slide.  Presentations should be pre-recorded and the final video submitted no later than March 6, 2021.  The virtual competition will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 3:30 pm EST.  


There will be a Judges’ Winner and Runner-up and a People’s Choice Winner!

Competition Rules:

  • Participants are responsible for submitting a pre-recorded 3-minute thesis video by March 6, 2021.  Submission details will be sent to each contestant.
  • The pre-recorded 3-minute video will be shown live on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 3:30 pm EST.  Judging will be live. Participants will not be judged on video quality.
