2022 Call For Late Breaker Poster Presentation Abstracts

 2022 Annual Scientific Meeting

"The Science of Health Behaviors in Times of Crises"

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Nov. 26, 2021 at 11:59 P.M. PST

The American Academy of Health Behavior invites abstracts to be submitted for late breaker research poster presentations at the 2022 Annual Meeting, which is currently scheduled for March 13-16, 2022 in Key Largo, Florida.

This year's meeting theme is The Science of Health Behaviors in Times of CrisesBetween the COVID-19 pandemic, weather disasters across the globe, civil unrest triggered by the deaths of Black men (e.g., George Floyd), and the current Afghanistan crisis, the world is responding and behaving in a way unlike ever before, particularly when it comes to health, economics, social relations, policy, and much more. It has never been more important to explore and understand the ways crises are felt at every level, and how they impact the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

General Guidelines for Poster Presentation Abstracts:
We particularly encourage submissions that are related to the meeting theme. Abstracts related to other health behavior topics are also welcome for submission. Preference will be given to quantitative and qualitative research-based abstracts that report complete results.

For more details about the abstract submission process, see links below.

Abstracts must be submitted by Nov.26, 2021 at 11:59 PM, Pacific Daylight Time. We welcome submissions from both members and non-members. Authors will be notified of the status of their submission(s) by December 17, 2021.

You may submit no more than 3 abstracts as first author. If you submit more than 3 abstracts as first author, you will be asked to select abstracts for withdrawal. There are no limits on co-authorship. If your abstract is accepted for presentation, it is expected that you and/or a co-author will register for the conference and be present for your session. All presenters/abstract authors will be responsible for their conference-related expenses (e.g., meeting registration, hotel accommodations). For registration rates and hotel rates and policies, go to:  2022 Conference Overview.

No Show Policy: Cancellations for accepted abstract presentations must be communicated directly to the AAHB Research Review Chair. Cancellations must be made prior to the first day of the virtual Meeting.

A Note about the Ongoing and Unstable COVID Situation: We recognize the COVID-19 pandemic is ever-changing and brings with it challenges relative to planning for travel and conference presentation. AAHB’s planning committee is closely and continually monitoring the situation, and will update members, participants, and abstract submitters on any changes to the conference and/or its delivery. As such, we encourage you to submit your abstract proposals despite any feelings of uncertainty regarding attendance at an in-person conference. Note:  All participants are required to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.  Covid 19 Vaccination Status Required

We look forward to receiving your submission and your attendance at the meeting. Please direct questions about abstract submissions to Meg Patterson (megpatterson@tamu.edu).
