This form is for current members (for at least three years), who wish to become a Fellow of AAHB. Note that in addition to submitting this online form, you must forward a copy of your vita to Dr. Elbert Glover, Membership Chair, using the link provided at the bottom of the page.
The deadline for applying is December 31st of each year. If approved, you will be officially inducted at the next Scientific Meeting of the Academy.
There are three qualifications that members must meet to be considered for the prestigious membership category of "Fellow of AAHB":
1. The applicant must have been an AAHB member for a minimum of three years prior to application.
2. The member must have authored or co-authored at least 50 refereed research papers (e.g. original data-based [quantitative or qualitative] research) published in national or international journals that regularly report the findings of original health behavior, health education, or health promotion research.
3. The member must meet one additional qualification of (a) having substantial research grant support, (b) a significant number of presentations and/or (c) making a significant contribution to the field of health behavior research. See specific definitions of the secondary criteria below and select one.

Presented at least 75 scientific papers at national or international professional meetings.

3. Read the Fellow Qualifications and check the box to the right to confirm you meet all three requirements.
4. List two AAHB members who know your work.
5. Choose at least ONE secondary criterion (presentations, research support, significant contribution).
6. Indicate on your CV a minimum of 50 data-based publications in national and international journals by highlighting each one in yellow.
7. Identify in blue the items within your CV that support your meeting the secondary criterion (presentations, number of grants, grant dollars, etc.).
